Vacaciones

Estas vacaciones no he hecho nada! (musicalmente hablando).

Creí que al tener más tiempo libre me centraría más en mi proyecto, pero que va... al principio si que intenté grabar algo, pero luego me dejé llevar y nada. Ahora que se me están acabando es cuando vuelvo a ponerme un poco las pilas con WELLFIRE, y he tomado la decisión de que la maqueta no se puede demorar más. Así que voy a intentar que vea la luz antes de Octubre.

Durante los últimos meses he ido barajando muchos repertorios provisionales, de canciones que no estaban terminadas y contaba con que en breve lo estuvieran, pero no ha sido así, por lo que no me queda otra que centrarme en lo que ya tengo, que es lo siguiente:

Fucking Generation es la única canción que no está terminada (falta la voz), pero sé que Angie Marie no me fallará. Ella cantará 4 de las 7 canciones de la maqueta, todas ellas grabadas en los últimos meses. Kuya Manzano se ha visto superado por sus proyectos paralelos y cada vez dispone de menos tiempo para WELLFIRE, aún y así aparecerá en 2 canciones. Y por último tenemos el debut de David Rotten, guitarrista de CARNIBALLS, que se ha animado a cantar 1 canción.
Si todo va bien, para la próxima maqueta podré contar con el debut de Steve Mon y el regreso de Immortal "The One", ojalá... pero para esta maqueta no les ha dado tiempo a grabar sus temas.

Sobre el título y la portada estoy barajando ideas, pero todavía ninguna definitiva.

Respecto al repertonio, puedo decir que Fucking Generation es lo más duro que he grabado nunca, rozando el trash/death metal. Hay 3 versiones, no quería tantas, pero por ello incluyo 7 canciones en lugar de 6, para que esta vez haya mayoría de temas propios. En esta ocasión tampoco hay canciones instrumentales. ¿Y baladas? Bueno, hay un medio tiempo, Far from Home. Sadness of Love tiene un ligero aire gótico industrial. Y el resto es rock, hard rock, y heavy. Como siempre, bastante variedad en el repertorio jejeje. Creo que el tema "estrella" podría ser Dirty Lips, es la más melódica y por la que más apuesto.

Aprovecho esta felicitación para hacer balance de las canciones que ya tengo desarrolladas desde el 2013, que son bastantes. A la mayoría les falta la voz, a si en este año consigo completarlas ;-)

De las 5 primeras canciones ya os he hablado, de las 4 últimas os iré hablando en nuevas entradas del blog. Biendo las fechas (aproximadas) de la creación de las canciones me voy dando cuenta lo mucho que me cuesta encontrar vocalistas para que las canten :( Espero que en este 2014 cambie mi suerte! :p (a mejor, claro, jeje).

Neverending Story

Llegó el momento de empezar a hablar de la tercera maqueta!
Y es que antes de acabar la segunda maqueta ya tenía un buen puñado de canciones disponibles para incluir en la siguiente maqueta. Están muy avanzadas, aunque eso no quiere decir que el lanzamiento sea inminente, ya que me estoy topando con el problema de los cantantes; me está costando encontrar nuevos, y los que ya tenía andan cada vez más liados y con menos tiempo... así que no depende de mi.

De momento ya hay un tema finalizado por completo, y es la versión de una canción muy conocida en los 80: Neverending Story, de Limahl.

Para la parte vocal pensé en hacer un dueto masculino - femenino, como en la original, pero la chica que aceptó el reto de cantarla al final se arrepintió... así que el encargado de llevar todo el peso vocal ha sido unicamente mi fiel Kuya Manzano. Según sus propias palabras, el resultado es "una mezcla de La Historia Interminable y El Fantasma de la Ópera". Yo más bien diría que la voz le ha quedado muy erótico-sensual, pero eso le da un toque diferente e innovador jeje. Aunque también la aleja de parecerse a la versión metalera ya existente interpretada por DRAGONLAND.

Muchos pondrán el grito en el cielo por ver como WELLFIRE sigue adaptando al heavy canciones no roqueras, pero es mi decisión y no me arrepiento!
