Rolplayer

Rolplayer es la última canción que he grabado. Aún estoy con los retoques finales, pero se podría decir que está lista desde hace un par de meses. Y desde entonces decidí parar y darme un respiro, ya que nunca había tenido tantas canciones a la espera de ser cantadas. De 9 temas acabados sólo 2 ya tienen la voz, las 7 restantes están a la espera de ser cantadas o de encontrar cantante. Es lo que hay...

Probablemente Rolplayer sea el tema más rápido que he grabado. Por primera vez he intentado coquetear con el Power Metal, y no ha sido fácil trabajar a esa velocidad, pero con práctica y paciencia lo he conseguido. Como suelo hacer ultimamente, he metido bastantes teclados a la melodía, pero a través de midi (es decir, no sonará el sonido original de mi teclado, sino que lo que yo he tocado sonará con un plugin emulando otro teclado de más calidad. Así pretendo distanciarme del sonido CAMELA jeje). También tengo que destacar la breve y delicada intro de piano, con guitarra sin distorsión de fondo.

En las letras de WELLFIRE siempre abordo la ficción, pero la fantasía no tanto. En esta ocasión tocaba hacerlo, pero desde un punto realista, así que en lugar de hablar de reinos olvidados, dragones, guerreros, etc, decidí hablar de las personas que sueñan con ese mundo: los fanáticos del rol.

La letra no es que sea un himno en pro de los jugadores de rol, pero tampoco en contra, digamos que es ambigua y de libre de interpretación. En lo personal, yo estoy a favor del rol, de hecho en mis años mozos jugué un par de veces y quedé emocionalmente fascinado. Esa manera de evadirse de la realidad y montar tu propia peli imaginaria es un sentimiento indescriptible. Por otra parte, no se puede negar que gran parte de la sociedad no ve con buenos ojos el rol, y muchos lo asocian con el frikismo.

Así que en la letra quise reflejar un poco las dos partes, el poder inagotable de la imaginación de los jugadores, y la imagen negativa que tienen de cara a la sociedad.
